Manga Hiti at Mangal Bazar in Patan is considered to be the oldest operational Dhunge Dhara on record. It was built in 570 AD. The tank contains a cruciform-shaped pool and three wonderfully carved Dharas (water spouts) in the shape of Makara (mythical crocodile-like beast).
