It came into Department of Food and Agriculture Market Services on October 30, 2008. Most of the existing structures have been constructed with the assistance of the Government of Nepal and the United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF) in view of the expansion in market conditions and the increasing pressure of market users during market operations.
