Yamari Punhi, one of the biggest festivals of Newars, is celebrated on the full moon of the lunar calendar of Newari community by making, distributing, and eating yamari (a Newari food). It is made from a mixture of rice flour, molasses (Chaku), and “Khuwa”.
On this day, in the street of Ason people are seen selling Newari foods like Choula, Achaar, Chuera, and Bara are seen.
