An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.7 jolted Izu Islands, Japan region at 03:39:46 GMT on Thursday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 32.6434 degrees north latitude and 142.4746 degrees east longitude.
