India Congress leader Rahul Gandhi tests COVID positive

Vice-President of the Indian National Congress, Rahul Gandhi, tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday.

Gandhi had developed mild symptoms of COVID-19 which was later confirmed.

He relayed the message to those who had been in contact with him to date.


India congress member Gandhi wrote on Twitter, "After experiencing mild symptoms, I’ve just tested positive for COVID. All those who’ve been in contact with me recently, please follow all safety protocols and stay safe."

Gandhi has been regularly tweeting to uplift the Indian government and its people to fight COVID-19 as the nation has been reeling amid the pandemic surge day by day.

The country has been reporting increasing record cases of the COVID in the meantime.

Former prime minister of India Manmohan Singh has also tested positive for COVID-19.
