Nine people have been killed in a road accident in the central Chile town of Puomo, according to the Chilean government.
According to Ricardo Guzman, an O’Higgins area official, the accident took place when a large truck and a van carrying workers collided. About 11 people were injured in the incident. Nine people were killed and three others were in critical condition at the scene.
