PM Dahal to leave Uganda tomorrow morning

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal is leaving for the Republic of Uganda tomorrow to participate in the 19th summit of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM).
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, he will depart from Qatar Airlines at 2:15 am. The conference will be held in Kampala, the capital of the Republic of Uganda, from January 19 to 20.
According to the ministry, the delegation led by the Prime Minister will include his daughter Ganga Dahal, Foreign Minister Narayan Prakash Saud, Foreign Secretary Seva Lamsal, and senior officials of the Government of Nepal.
Prime Minister Dahal is scheduled to address the summit session on ‘Strengthening Cooperation for Shared Global Prosperity’ on January 19.
On the same day, Prime Minister Dahal will attend a state banquet hosted by the President of the Republic of Uganda, General Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, in honor of the heads of the delegation.
During the summit, Prime Minister Dahal will hold bilateral meetings with the participating heads of state, heads of government, and other high-ranking personalities.
Earlier, Foreign Minister Saud has already left for the ministerial meeting today and tomorrow.
A meeting of senior officials was held before the ministerial-level meeting.
It is said that the summit will deliberate on the report of the ministerial meeting, review the progress achieved in implementing the results of the 18th summit in 2019, and conclude by passing the Kampala Declaration.
Nepal is a founding member of the Non-Aligned Movement and has been actively participating in the All Names Summit since its inception.
The principle of non-alignment is one of the basic principles of Nepal’s foreign policy. It is planned that Prime Minister Dahal will arrive in Kathmandu at 9 am next Sunday after completing his visit.
After the 19th Nam Summit, the third South Summit is being held in Kampala. Foreign Secretary Lamsal will lead the Nepali delegation at the South Summit.
