Prime Minister Deuba at the BJP headquarters

Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, who is on a three-day official visit to India, arrived at the headquarters of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) at Deendayal Upadhyaya Marg in New Delhi today. On the occasion, he was welcomed by top leaders including BJP president JP Nadda and foreign affairs chief Dr Vijay Chauthaivale.

After accepting the invitation of the chairman of the BJP, the world's largest democratic party, Prime Minister Deuba visited the party's headquarters. Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Narayan Khadka said that the visit had helped in establishing good friendly relations between the BJP and the political parties of Nepal. He said, "This visit has sent a positive message, formally opening the door for dialogue."

Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Pampha Bhusal said that the visit of the Prime Minister this time was a great achievement in itself as there had been no high-level visit between the two countries for a long time. Minister for Health and Population Virodh Khatiwada said that the visit of Prime Minister Deuba was fruitful for exchanging experiences and strengthening relations between the two parties.

Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Khadka, Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Bhusal, Minister for Health and Population Khatiwada, Minister for Agriculture and Livestock Development Mahendra Rai Yadav and other members of the delegation were also present on the occasion.

This evening, Indian External Affairs Minister Dr S. Jayashankar paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Deuba and attended a reception hosted by Nepal's Ambassador to India Dr Shankar Prasad Sharma at the Nepalese Embassy in New Delhi. In addition to the members of the visiting team, the Nepali community in India was also present at the banquet.
