CPN (UML) parliamentarian Sarita Kumari Giri has demanded impartial investigation into the demise of Dr Bijay Kumar Yadav of Bishnupur Rural Municipality in Saptari district.
During today's House of Representatives (HoR) meeting, Giri demanded time with Speaker of the House of Representatives (HoR) Agni Prasad Sapkota, accusing the Nobel Medical College administration of attempting to stage Dr Yadav's murder as an accident. Dr. Yadav, according to Giri, was brutally murdered on June 1 night. Yadav worked as an orthopaedic surgeon at Morang's Nobel Hospital.
Giri further blamed that Nepal Police had attempted to destroy the evidences related to Dr Yadav's murder whose dead body, according to her, was lying abandoned in the premises of his rented house. The dead body also contained bruises occurred from attack, she claimed.
Dr. Yadav's family has claimed that doctors, employees, and pharmaceutical shops were engaged in Dr. Yadav's murder, and parliamentarian Giri has demanded a parliamentary investigative committee to bring the perpetrator to justice and deliver justice to the victims' families.
