Theft in seven places, including cooperative

A burglary has taken place in seven places, including a cooperative, in Kushmishera Bazaar of Baglung's Jaimini Municipality-1 last night.

A theft took place in the houses of six locals and the Kushmishera Branch of CYC Savings and Loan Cooperative.

Chairman of the Kushmishera Chamber of Commerce Bishnu Acharya said that two tolas of gold and Rs 20,000 in cash were stolen from the house of Govinda Ankheli, a businessman of Kushmishera Bazaar. Similarly, Rs. 5,000 has been stolen from the house of Yam Bahadur GC, Principal of Shanti Secondary School. According to Acharya, Rs 27,000 was stolen from the shop of Anil Sapkota, a trader in Kushmishera Bazaar.

Chudamani Sharma's medical shop, Nayan Singh Thapa's house and Man Bahadur Pariyar's shop have also been robbed. An investigation is underway. Acharya said that a house belonging to CYC Savings and Loan Cooperative was also vandalized.

An investigation is underway into the theft. According to the police, the burglary took place by breaking windows and doors in all the stolen houses and shops. Police patrolling the market till 2:30 pm on Thursday said that they got information about the theft only this morning.

Constable Hari Sharma of Kushmishera police post informed that the incident is being investigated. Hemlal Poudel's shop in Kushmishera Bazaar was burglarized three months ago. Police have not been able to arrest the thief. According to locals, thefts have increased again in Kushmishera Bazaar after three months.
