A woman died in a tiger attack in Bardiya district today. The victim is Manisha Rokaya, 35, of Hasanapur from Baijanath rural municipality-8 of neighbouring district, Banke.
Tulsiram Aryal, Deputy Superintendent of Police at Bardiya District Police Office, informed that Rokaya died in the tiger attack near Janachetana community forest of Bansgadhi municipality-4.
However, her sister Kailash Pati Tharu, 40, escaped the attack. They were going together to Bansgadhi municipality-4.
Chief of the Division Forest Office, Bardiya, Prabin Bidari, informed that investigation into the incident was underway.
A woman has died when a tiger attacked her in Ghailaghari community forest. The deceased has been identified as Mangali Bote, 55, of Ghaulaghari in Bharatpur Metropolitan City-23, according to the District Police Office, Chitwan.
According to Narahari Adhikari, information officer of the office, Bote was attacked by a tiger out of four people who went to the community forest this afternoon.
