2 people died due to electrocution in Birgunj

Two wage laborers were electrocuted to death in separate incidents at Birgunj.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Deepak Giri informed that the victims were identified as 30-year-old Saifullah Ansari, a resident of Hariharpur, Dhowini rural municipality, and 60-year-old Dhruv Prasad Sah, a resident of Birgunj Metropolitan City-9, Ranighat.

Saifullah, who was plastering Ramkishore Prasad Kurmi's house, a resident of Birganj-26, was electrocuted at 6:30 pm on Monday. While plastering, he accidentally touched a bare electric wire.

Dhruv, a wage earner, was electrocuted while cleaning the roof of Shatrudhan Sarraf's house located in Birganj-8 at 12:25 pm on Monday. He was electrocuted and was immediately sent to the nearby Asharam Hospital for treatment. According to hospital doctor Dr. Ashok Das, he was already dead when he arrived at the hospital.

According to the police, further investigations are being conducted on both the incidents after preparing a physical bond at the scene of the incident and body examination.
