The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) Sunday reported 303 new cases of coronavirus infection in Nepal. The addition of new cases has taken the country's COVID-19 tally to 280,028.
As many as 141 patients of COVID-19 have recovered in the past 24 hours. With this, a total of 274,027 persons infected with coronavirus in the country have recovered as of Sunday. At present, the recovery rate stands at 97.9 per cent as per the data released by the MoHP.
The nationwide death toll from COVID-19 has reached 3,040 with the report of one more death from COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. Presently, there are 2,961 active cases in Nepal.
More than 135.46 million people have been reported to be infected by the novel coronavirus worldwide while at least 3,068,091 people have died from COVID-19, following an outbreak that started in Wuhan, China, in early December, a Reuters tally showed as of 3:22 pm, on Sunday, April 11, 2021.
The World Health Organisation referred to it as a pandemic on March 11, 2020.
