62 bodies recovered from plane crash site in Pokhara

62 bodies have been removed from the plane crash site in Pokhara till Sunday 4 pm.

According to Nepali Army spokesperson Krishna Bhandari, 62 bodies have been recovered from the accident site. Rescuers including Nepali Army, Armed Police, Nepal Police, and Pokhara Metropolitan Police are still continuing the search and rescue operation at the accident site.

The rescued bodies are being taken to Gandaki Hospital and they will be identified and handed over to their relatives after post-mortem.

The plane of Yeti Airlines with 68 passengers and 4 crew members fell into the gorge of the Seti River in Pokhara.

The bodies of 29 people have been taken to the hospital. According to the security personnel, it is difficult to rescue people due to the fire and smoke coming from the cave.
