86 MW of electricity generated from the Solukhola Dudhkoshi hydropower project is connected to the national transmission system. The project, which is being promoted by Sahash Urja Company Limited, was under testing since last weekThe water of Solukhola located in Soluddhukanda Municipality-11 was diverted to Makubesi in Thulung Dudhkoshi Rural Municipality-3 through a 4,679-meter long tunnel and 1,938-meter long pipeline to generate 86 megawatts of electricity.

The river flow-based power project is connected to the 132 kVA Solu Corridor at the Lammane substation. The project is connected to the 132 kV transmission line by constructing a 13 km grid from Sahas Energy's powerhouse to Lammane. The gross head of the project is 613 meters.

Him Pathak, president of Sahas Urja Limited, said that after the successful testing, the electricity produced by the project will be connected to the national system of the Nepal Electricity Authority. In October 2016, the company, which obtained a generation license from the Electricity Development Department, was entrusted with the construction of the civil sector by the Italian company CMCD Rivenna.

A new contract was called for after breaking the contract with Italian for not working according to the contract. After that, CE Construction took the contract and completed the civil works on time and the project was completed.

The hydro-mechanical contract of the project was taken by Machapuchchhe and Metal Work Sup and the electro-mechanical contract was taken by Vyth Hydro. The construction was completed at a total cost of 13 billion with a total of 25 percent of the founders and shareholders and 75 percent of the bank's investment. Under the leadership of Nepal Investment Bank, 10 banks have invested in this project.

With the connection of the central transmission line, commercial production will be launched within the next 15 days, according to Pathak, the president of the company. 23.5 which was built earlier in Solukhola

The upper Solu hydropower project with a megawatt capacity is connected to the national transmission line. More than 150-megawatt power projects are under construction in Solukhola.
