Gurung passed away during treatment at Harisiddhi Cancer Hospital on Monday.

Gurung, who was the former Secretary General of the Nepal Federation of Indigenous Nationalities, was currently the Chairman of the Advisory Committee of the CPN Revolutionary Maoist.
