Arrest of social media abusers

The police have arrested 39-year-old Tularam Saru, who was writing about a woman in a fake account on the social network Facebook.

The perpetrator became friends with the victim on Facebook, pressured and threatened her by saying that she would marry the victim, and forced her to perform obscene acts in a video call.

The police said that the victim initially blocked his Facebook profile, but the perpetrator made a fake profile and Saru, a permanent resident of Dailekh, committed character assassination.

According to the order of the Kathmandu District Court, necessary investigation is being done on him.
