Bagmati State Assembly: Passed 70 bills in four and a half years

Speaker Sanukumar Shrestha informed that a total of 70 bills including 55 original bills and 15 amendment bills were passed in that assembly. Similarly, he said that 66 bills have been approved by the provincial head.

It is said that three ordinances have been passed by the Provincial Assembly and three bills have not been approved due to various reasons. He complained that the federal government did not enact some laws, but the state government could not enact the necessary laws even if it wanted to.

The meeting of the state assembly has been held for 288 hours and 20 minutes so far, the state assembly said. Similarly, it is said that so far 11 special time programs and 29 special time programs have been held in the state assembly.

Speaker Shrestha said that three original bills, three amendment bills and one bill to replace the ordinance were passed in the 10th session of the Provincial Assembly, which is basically focused on policy programs and budget creation. It is said that three such replacement bills have not been passed.
