The Election Commission has stated that it is not allowed to sign the ballot paper with pencil. As there is a danger of erasing the pencil signature quickly, they have asked for a pen to be used instead.
Local elections are being held on 13th May.
According to the commission, the ballot paper can be signed with any black, red, blue or green ink pen-dot pen.
