Bhrikutimandap fire will be investigated: Home Minister Khand

Home Minister Balkrishna Khand has said the fire that occurred in the office of the Social Welfare Council, Bhrikutimandap, will be investigated. Minister Khand said it while inspecting the Council office on Sunday.

The support materials for the physically disabled persons stored in the office were destroyed in the fire. Minister Khand assured that support materials would be provided via the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority under the Home Ministry.

President of the National Disabled Trust under the Council, Dekraj Bhattarai, made aware the Home Minister of the loss caused by the fire.

Also together with the Home Minister during the inspection were Ministry Secretary Teknarayan Pandey, Chief District Officer of Kathmandu, Govinda Prasad Rijal, Chief of Metropolitan Police Premise in Kathmandu, Bharat Bahadur Bohara, among others.
