Bird flu has been confirmed in two places of Morang. According to the Department of Livestock Services, bird flu has been confirmed in Khuniyakatta and Budhiganga-5, Morang.
According to Lekhraj Dahal, Acting Director-General of the department, the samples of chickens reared by the farmers in the area were tested on January 31 with real-time PCR technique at the Central Veterinary Laboratory, Tripureshwor.
According to him, the department has mobilized the concerned agencies of the state and local level to take immediate control of the spread of the disease in the area.
