An aircraft of Buddha Air flying to Kathmandu from Bhairahawa was diverted to the Janakpur airport due to bad weather conditions, said the airport authorities. The plane was diverted to the airport after being informed about air traffic congestion in Kathmandu caused by bad weather, they said. The flight that was actually scheduled for 6:15 am took place at 7:35 am due to a delay.
The aircraft landed in the Tribhuvan International Airport only at 10:25 am after holding over one hour in the Janakpur airport, said a passenger, Madan Khanal from Butwal
