According to preliminary data released by the Central Statistics Office, the Himalayan district of Manang has the lowest population. According to the preliminary details of the department, the population is 5,645. The current figures are lower than the number of voters in 2017/18.

In the census of 2011, the population was 5,900 and now it is 255 less than the population of 2018. According to the statistics, the number of voters is more than the population of the district. The number of voters who have completed 18 years of age till April 2021 was 6,309 while 6,612 voters have been counted from July to October of the current fiscal year.

The number of voters is 967 more than the current population. As the population is less than the number of voters, it has become difficult to identify which of the data collected by enumerators, observers and the Election Commission is correct. According to the census, Narpabhum village municipality has the lowest population of 442.

The initial census was conducted in the first phase from September 15 to October 4 and in the second phase from November 11 to November 25.
