Chair Dahal speaks about development, prosperity

Chairperson of the CPN (Maoist Centre), Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda', has said giving a message of development and prosperity is his determination.

Laying the foundation stone for the underground and strengthening of the electricity distribution system in Bharatpur which is being launched by the Nepal Electricity Authority here today, Chairperson Dahal viewed he was confident that there would be continued support from the people for his determination.

"Education, health, employment, and security are the people's aspirations", he said. Dahal further opined that laying underground the electric cables would increase the safety of the people and add beauty to the town.

Similarly, the Mayor of Bharatpur Metropolitan City, Renu Dahal, urged the contractors to complete the task on time, saying the work had started in the coordination with metropolitan city's initiatives.

Likewise, Chief Executive Director of the Nepal Electricity Authority, Kulman Ghising, stressed the need of carrying out work smoothly in order to complete the projects within two years.

He further said the NEA had been selling power worth Rs 100 million to Rs 120 million every day, securing a profit of Rs 16 billion.

The undergrounding of electric cables is going to be done on a six-lane road from Pulchowk to Godrang in the first phase.

All cables of Bharatpur Bypass road and Pulchowk to the Central Bus Terminal of the six-lane road would be undergrounded. The NEA has forwarded the project with the support of the Asian Development Bank.
