CPN (UML) Chairperson KP Sharma Oli has said social integrity and harmony based on ethnic, cultural, linguistic and religions diversities is the identity of society for centuries and this should be preserved and further promoted.
In his address to a programme organised Saturday by the All Nepal Women Association, Madhyapur Thimi, Oli said that any attempts aimed at evoking communal unrests and weakening social harmony should be prevented.
In the programme organised to exchange greetings on the occasion of the upcoming Teej, the festival of Hindu women, the leader said, "Cultural festivals of Nepal are means of bringing personal and communal happiness as well of strengthening the social bonds."
