Chief of Army Staff General Prabhuram Sharma's official visit to the United States has started today.
He visited the National Museum of the Marine Corps and Marine Corps Base in Virginia, USA today. He also had discussions and interactions with Commanding General Brigadier General Kyle B. Elison of the Marine Corps War Fighting Laboratory. On this visit, General Sharma learned about various aspects of the college, including training.
Sharma, who arrived in the United States on June 26 for an official visit, had a courtesy meeting with Nepali Ambassador to the United States Shridhar Khatri on the same day.
Earlier, at the invitation of the United Nations the army chief had visited Lebanon and Syria.
He visited the United National Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) Mission in Lebanon and the United Nations Disengagement Observer Force (UNDOF) Mission in Syria.
