A Chinese man has been jailed for raping an 18 year old. It is reported that Lee Chun had come to Nepal on a visit visa a year and had gotten close to a lady and her daughter who were street food vendors.
Lee started meeting them everyday. He had also offered to take the girl for shopping.
Police said that the girl's mother lodged a FIR at the District Police Office, Kaski, alleging that had raped her. He was arrested on February 27.
Lee, who came to Nepal on a visit visa, got a business visa and started living in Pokhara, however he did not run any business.
‘While touring Pokhara, he came across a family selling snacks on the banks of the Fewa lake," said Kaski police spokesperson DSP Sundar Tiwari said. "Lee is accused of raping the girl. After the mother filed a complaint, we took action," he added.
According to the complaint, Lee went to the girl's house at midnight one day and raped her. He was arrested and was investigated for seven days. Spokesperson Tiwari informed that the Kaski District Court has ordered to keep Lee in custody for trial.
