The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police has submitted the report regarding the embezzlement case of government land of Lalita Niwas to District Public Prosecutor's Office Kathmandu today. Chief of the District Public Prosecutor's Office, Achyutamani Neupane, informed that the investigation report of the case had been received.
The CIB took the statements of former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal and Dr. Baburam Bhattarai on Sunday night along with those said to be involved in the case, while on Monday it took the statements of Nepali Congress leader and former Deputy Prime Minister Vijay Kumar Gachchdar, former Minister Chandradev Joshi, former State Minister Sanjay Sah (Takla) and others.
The matter of embezzlement of Lalita Niwas land in Baluwatar in the name of a person is currently under consideration in a special court.
