President Bidya Devi Bhandari has called all sides concerned to extend support and wage activism from their sides to eliminate corruption from society and establish good governance.

Addressing a function organized by the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) on its 32nd anniversary in the federal capital today, President Bhandari viewed corruption could be controlled with the concerted efforts of political leadership, Commission, and administrative leadership.

"Corruption is a crime against the state. It is a sheer hindrance to the country's progress and sustainable development, so all state mechanisms must be united to control and eliminate corruption," she underscored. The President further argued as corruption has a direct link to irregularity in service delivery, draining out-of-state coffers, cause of conflict, and blotting to international image, it must be rooted out from the society and country.

However, for curbing corruption, all need to be honest, moral, and of high integrity.
