A dead rhino was found in Kalika municipality-1 of Chitwan. Its body was found decomposing inside the Chaturmukhi community forest.

The Division Forest Office suspects that the rhino may have been killed by poachers six months ago. No hooves of the rhino have been found.

Spokesperson at the Division Forest Office, Chitwan, Bal Krishna Khanal, said that only the bones of the dead rhino were found during patrolling. According to him, the rhino's horn has been chopped off.

A team of Division Forest and Chitwan National Park had reached the spot and conducted the post-mortem.

As patrolling in Chitwan National Park and national forest area has decreased, information about the death of rhinos is found late.
