Last night, a man died after being bitten by a snake in Waling, Syangja. 55-year-old Nil Bahadur Khan of Walling-8 Bogtidanda, Syangja, died during treatment at Gara Primary Hospital Walling, informed Uday Bahadur Paudel, information officer of the hospital.
Paudel informed that after being bitten by a snake at 11:30 last night, Khan was brought to the hospital for treatment, and was referred because treatment was not possible there.
"When Khan was brought to the hospital, he was already poisoned, vomiting blood and showed other symptoms," said information officer Paudel, "Since treatment was not possible here, we referred him immediately, but the patient died at the hospital around 4 am."
Khan was bitten by a rattlesnake in two places on his left hand. The local residents killed the snake along with the patient and brought it to the hospital.
