Minister for Education, Science, and Technology Ashok Rai has pledged to put his honest efforts into education sector reforms.
In his address to the seventh national general convention of the Higher Secondary Teachers Union Nepal (HISTUN) on Saturday, Minister Rai said he would focus his efforts on bringing reforms in the education sector that produces dignified persons and nation-builders.
"Secondary education is a spectacular foundation for individuals to attain knowledge. This sector has possessed various personalities who have long been making big investments in the education sector. Teaching and learning cannot be imagined without teachers. The problem of teachers is our problem as well. I will engage my sincere efforts for bringing reforms in the educational sector", he added.
Minister Rai urged all not to show more frustration and rebellion notion to the state and understand the state apparatuses insanely.
He further noted they were effortful to honestly discharge their responsibilities advocating the state should be governed with wisdom.
Also speaking on the occasion, chief whip of Nepali Congress parliamentary party Ramesh Lekhak promised to emphatically exert efforts to endorse the Education Bill in the parliament.
"The Federal Education Act is the need of the state. The Federal Civil Service Act, Health Act, and Education Act are associated with the agenda of service delivery", he noted.
He urged the education minister to put for the discussion on the education bill and bring it for endorsement. "I would be effortful to endorse the bill once it enters the parliament", Lekhak pledged. ---
