Deputy Prime Minister Ishwar Pokharel has said anti-COVID vaccines and oxygen plants would be imported soon both through direct governments of different countries and/or business channels.

Inaugurating the ‘Radha Swami COVID Isolation and Oxygen Therapy Centre’ set up at Basundhara, Kathmandu today, he said oxygen plant and anti-COVID vaccine was the topmost priority of the government.

“We are effortful to bring oxygen plant and vaccine through any channels – government to government (G2G) and business to business (B2B) – no matter how the budget is required”, the deputy prime minister added.

He went on saying that the Indian government is providing liquid oxygen support to Nepal. “Oxygen cylinders aided by the Chinese government would be imported soon. We are also encouraging private sector as well”.

The 88-bed isolation centre set up by the Nepal Army with support from Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has come into operation.

DPM Pokharel ruled our allegations and rumours against the government as baseless.
