Eight out of 10 cold storages being constructed by the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development in Bagmati Province are going to be operational from the third week of coming August.
Physical construction work of eight storages has been completed and machine installation work is underway, said Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development Dr. Saroj Pandey. He said that the ministry has advanced the construction of cold storage in partnership with cooperative organizations and the private sector.
Cold storages are being set up in Khairhani-6 in Chitwan, Benighat Rorang-7 in Dhading, Kalika-2 in Rasuwa, Sunkosi-5 in Sindhuli, Lisangkhupakhar-7 in Sindhupalchok, Jiri-5 in Dolakha, Manthali in Ramechhap and Bidur-5 and Belkotgarhi-10 in Nuwakot.
The ministry is constructing the 10 cold storage for Rs 978.3 million.
