Election targeted program started in Karnali

Political parties have started various activities targeting the local level election to be held on May 13. As soon as the government announces the date, the parties are conducting campaigns including gathering, training and party entry from the state to the toll level.

At present, the party leaders and cadres are concentrating their programs not only in the state capital Surkhet but also in the wards and toll plazas. CPN (UML) completed the local level election-focused state level training on february 26 and 27. The closed training held in Birendranagar in the presence of party vice president Ram Bahadur Thapa, party deputy general secretary Pradip Gyawali, local level department chief Devendra Dahal and other leaders focused on how to win the election.

According to Gangaram Timilsena, head of the UML's Surkhet propaganda department, who participated in the training, the leaders had given training on the review of the past election, preparations for the upcoming election, agenda to be decided by the party and other strategies. After the state level training, the leaders are now involved in their village / town centered campaign. Chief of the Publicity Department, Timilsena, said that activities including gatherings, meetings and training are being conducted in all the nine local level wards and toll plazas of Surkhet.

The Nepali Congress has also launched a nationwide election campaign from Sunday. The Congress has launched a month-long campaign by deploying central representatives in all the districts of Karnali. According to the central program, this campaign has already started in all the districts here.

In addition to the central campaign, various village / municipal committees and fraternal organizations of the Nepali Congress have also continued their meetings and party entry programs. The training was held in Birendranagar on Sunday in the presence of Union General Secretary Gagan Kumar Thapa. District party secretary Dev Kumar Subedi said that the subordinate committees have been instructed to make all kinds of preparations for the local elections.

Subedi, who is also the mayor of Virendranagar, said, "Why is the Congress necessary for the country?" What did we do We try to explain that to the people. ”

The CPN (Maoist Center) has also started preparations for the local elections. The UCPN (M) Center conducted a state level training in Birendranagar on Friday in the presence of Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal. Earlier, the party's provincial committee was incomplete and the training was mainly aimed at the upcoming local elections. Similarly, the CPN (Unified Socialist) has been increasing its election-oriented activities.

The party has emphasized on forming party committees up to ward level and forming committees of fraternal organizations. Rastriya Prajatantra Party held a meeting in Birendranagar on Saturday in the presence of leaders including Central Chairman Rajendra Lingden. Central member of the party Santoshi Singh Thakuri exposed the anomalous activities of the republican parties and said that the central leadership had directed to go among the people with the restoration of Hindu nation and monarchy as the main agenda.

The meeting was addressed by Central Vice President Mukunda Shyam Giri, General Secretary Kunti Kumari Shahi and other leaders. Meanwhile, as the date of local level election draws near, the discussion of candidates has started. Some leaders have started preaching on social media. Particularly in Birendranagar, the state capital, the parties have intensified their activities to win and discussions have been held on possible aspirants. The parties have made it a matter of prestige as winning at the local level will enable maximum mobilization of resources and will also help in the National Assembly elections. There are 79 local levels in Karnali.
