The driver died when an excavator fell into a landslide at Jiubhanne in Triparasundari Municipality-3 of Dolpa.
Madhav Prasad Shrestha, Spokesperson of Karnali Province Police Office in Surkhet, informed that while the road was being dug at around 9 o'clock in the morning, a landslide came from above and the excavator was buried. He said that 32-year-old Suraj Basal Magar, a resident of Raja Mohonpur, 19 Banke, Nepalganj sub-metropolitan city, died when the excavator was buried in the landslide.
According to spokesperson Shrestha, the team of police inspector Deepak Mahat Chhetri from Dolpa district police office reached the spot after receiving the news of the accident.
