KATHMANDU: The weather across the country is expected to remain generally fair today, with westerly winds currently affecting the region, causing partly cloudy skies, as reported by the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology.
Thick fog is observed in some areas of the Tarai region, but overall, the weather will remain clear throughout the afternoon and evening.
However, thick fog is expected to linger in many parts of the Tarai and Kathmandu Valley on Monday morning.
The Department has advised authorities to take precautions, as the fog could disrupt daily activities, transportation, and flights for a few hours.
Meanwhile, Kathmandu Valley residents are experiencing relatively warmer weather today compared to Saturday, when temperatures dropped to 2°C, the coldest day of the year.
This morning, the temperature was recorded at 4.5°C, with the maximum temperature expected to reach between 16°C and 18°C today, according to the Department.
