Doti, 3 Jestha: The District Police Office in Doti has apprehended a fake doctor accused of deception during a health camp conducted in Rajpur, Doti. According to the police, two individuals, including the alleged fake doctor, have been arrested.
As per the police, the fake doctor identified as Bhupendra Bahadur Kshetri, 44, from Mahakali Municipality-4, and his accomplice Pushkar Gunyal, 46, from Bhimdatta Municipality-18, were apprehended. Upon scrutiny of their documents, suspicion arose regarding the authenticity of Kshetri's medical credentials. When the Nepal Medical Council in Kathmandu confirmed that Bhupendra Bahadur Kshetri was not registered as a doctor, charges related to medical malpractice were filed against both individuals on Wednesday.
Deputy Superintendent of Police, Bhim Lal Bhattarai, informed that after registering cases against both individuals, the District Court in Doti has extended the investigation period by five days. The accused had conducted a health camp in Dipayal Silgadhi Municipality-4 where they allegedly engaged in fraudulent activities.
