A relief amount of Rs. 5.7 million has been provided to the families of those who died from corona in Baglung. As per the decision of the Gandaki state government to provide Rs. 50,000 relief to the families of those who died from corona in 11 districts.
According to Suraj Gurau, head of the health office in Baglung, 114 people who died due to corona in Baglung district have already received a relief amount of Rs 50,000. "The number of deaths due to corona in the district is 72, but the district had a policy of providing relief to the families of those who died in various hospitals during treatment," he said. The deceased family should bring the documents to get a relief fund.
As per the decision of the state, they have provided relief of Rs. 50,000 but still, 20-30 families are yet to come in contact.
He said that even though the health office provided a relief amount of Rs 50,000, some municipalities in Baglung have also provided relief amounts to the families of the deceased. A source said that it was not known which municipality-provided relief as the details of the municipality's relief was not available to the health office.
The families of those who lost their lives due to corona infection in Kathekhola village of the district had given relief at the rate of Rs 20,000. According to the market budget of Rs. 360 million allocated by the village municipality in the fiscal year 2021/22 AD. So far, 18 people have lost their lives due to corona infection in the village municipality.
The municipality has provided relief at the rate of Rs 20,000 to the families who lost their lives due to the corona infection which has spread like a global epidemic.
