Minister for Health of Bagmati Province, Uttam Joshi, has donated Rs. 101,111 to the Senior Citizens Association, Chitwan, in memory of his parents.

On the occasion of International Senior Citizens Day, he said all should learn to respect senior citizens. "The current generation has not been able to respect the older generation. It is important to teach this culture."

At the program chaired by President of the Senior Citizens' Association, Chitwan, Kedarnath Timilsina, deputy mayor of Bharatpur Metropolitan City, Chitrasen Adhikari, the former chairperson of the Women's Commission, Bhagwati Ghimire, and the ward president, Parameshwar Khanal, spoke on the need to respect and honour senior citizens.
