A furniture shop at Patthardada, Tilottama Municipality in Rupandehi district has caught fire. The fire destroyed all the furniture of Kanauje Traders showroom and factory and caused damage of more than Rs 20 million, informed the ward chair Ganesh Neupane.
The fire started on Thursday evening at around 6 pm, and was brought under control after seven hours, said the spokesperson of the District Police Office Rupandehi, Satyanarayan Thapa.
As the fire could not be brought to control by the fire department, the building was torn apart with a dozer, informed the police.
