Five people have gone missing in Panchthar due to the floods that came with the incessant rain. They disappeared due to the flood in the Hewa River. The flood has caused a large amount of damage to physical structures.
It has been reported that 2 people working on the Hewa 'A' hydropower project have also gone missing.
The flood swept away the Hewa River bridge on the way to Panchthar and Taplejung under the Mechi highway.
