Police apprehended four youths on the charge of gang-raping a 37-year-old woman in Udayapur district.

The arrested have been identified as Madan Pulami Magar (23), Suman Thapa (20) and two other 18-year-old boys. All of them are the residents of Sinkaule in Udayapurgadhi-6.

According to police they had allegedly gang-raped the woman on the night of June 29.

After receiving the information about the heinous crime, a joint team of security personnel deployed from Udayapur District Police Office (DPO) and Nepaltar-based Temporary Police Post arrested the accused on Tuesday morning.

Meanwhile, investigation into the case is underway, informed the DPO.
