According to Jitendra Kumar Basnet, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Dhanusha, four out of five motorcyclists were killed when their motorcycle crashed in Barkurwa of Sabaila Municipality-12 at around 8.30 pm.
The deceased have been identified as Rahul Yadav, 15, Laxmi Yadav, 12, Vikas Yadav, alias Bouka, and Sumit Yadav, 14. The injured were rushed to Janakpurdham Provincial Hospital for treatment but four died on the spot, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Basnet.
Surendra Yadav, 19, of Sabaila-2 was also injured in the accident and is undergoing treatment at the provincial hospital, according to police. The cause of the accident could not be ascertained and further investigation is underway, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Basnet.
