General public should be assured with social security

President Ram Chandra Paudel has said equal access of all citizens to the state-sponsored services and entitlements should be established and their social security be ensured in line with the Constitution.

In a message of best wishes and congratulations today to all the Nepali people on the occasion of the Constitution Day and National Day, President Paudel said today's key challenge and responsibility was to effectively implement the constitutionally-guaranteed fundamental rights and strengthen national economy by replacing import-based economic paradigm.

President Paudel stressed the need to enable the culture of respecting work and system to create opportunities of income to the disadvantaged and dispense justice to the helpless.

Paying tributes to all known-unknown martyrs who laid down their lives for establishing democratic republic, he paid respect and honor to all seniors who showed path for establishing democratic system. "The present Constitution has unified the diversified Nepali society for broader cause of national unity", the message reads.

In order to ensure improved inter-governmental relations and strong federal governance system, the natural resource mobilization coupled with modernization of agriculture and entrepreneurship development should be focused, the President noted.

"I am confident that the Day would further sensitize us to make the government and entire regime more democratic, just and result-oriented", he added.

On the occasion, the Head of the State has urged all to make honest efforts for translating the constitutional letter and spirits into actions.
