Negotiations between the government team and loan sharking victims have been continuing for the last two days, with further discussions planned for Tuesday.
Led by Home Ministry’s Joint Secretary Pradip Koirala, the government discussion team has been meeting with the farmer’s struggle committee to discuss their demands.
The Committee has put forward a number of demands related to the issues faced by loan sharking victims, including the provision of compensation and the implementation of new regulations to protect against future incidents.
Despite two days of talks, no agreement has been reached, and a third day of discussions has been scheduled. The Coordinator of the struggle committee, Abdhes Kushwaha, has confirmed that the demands were discussed on Sunday and Monday, but a resolution was not reached.
As a result, the two sides will meet again on Tuesday to continue negotiations.
