The government has required the District Administration Office to shut down the crusher industries which are not registered and renewed.
The Home Ministry issued such directives on Wednesday in a circular sent to the District Administration Office of all 77 districts to shut down such industries operating illegally, said Spokesperson at the Home Ministry, Phanindra Mani Pokharel.
The circular was issued to regulate the extraction of stone, pebble, and sand following the Environment Conservation Act-2076 and to implement the court’s order in this regard, according to the Home Ministry.
The local administration would shut down crusher industries that are in operation without registration and renewal and those involved in extracting pebbles and sand illegally shared Spokesperson Pokharel.
