Foreign Minister Dr. Bimala Rai Paudyal has a courtesy meeting with Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe.
She reached Colombo to participate in the 75th Independence Day of Sri Lanka and met with President Wickremesinghe yesterday evening. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, various matters of mutual interest and interest between the two countries were discussed during the meeting.
Foreign Minister Paudyal asked the President of Sri Lanka to promote cooperation on issues such as the expansion of air connectivity with Bhairahawa International Airport, cultural exchange between the two countries, and the study of Buddhist philosophy in Nepal.
Minister Paudyal had also separate meetings with the Foreign Ministers of India, Bangladesh, Maldives, and Sri Lanka, who was in Colombo to participate in Sri Lanka's Independence Day.
Earlier, Foreign Minister Paudyal had a courtesy meeting with the Prime Minister of Sri Lanka. Foreign Minister Paudyal will return home today after completing her visit to Sri Lanka.
