Holding facility has been set up at Kalipul Bus Park, the main transit to Myagdi district. The facility will be used for people entering the district from outside and foreign countries in view of the second wave of COVID-19 infection.
The COVID-19 district crisis management center puts the facility into operation in a bid to control the infection. As per the initiatives in this regard, detail personal information of people including from foreign countries and outside the district entering the district will be recorded and they will be put at quarantine service in coordination with people’s representatives of the respective wards, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Shyam Kumar Rai.
The facility and a citizen help desk have been established on the initiatives of the district administration office and in cooperation with all local levels, he said. A building for the tourism information center at Kalipul houses the facility and the desk.
An employee at every six local levels and security personnel have been deployed for the facility. Six new COVID-19 infections have been added in Myagdi district on Friday alone. With this, the caseload in the district as of Thursday has hit 48.
