The prohibitory order imposed to contain the spread of COVID-19 since May 5 in Humla has been lifted from midnight of Thursday, the administration said.
Chief District Officer and Coordinator of District COVID-19 Crisis Management Centre (DCCMC), Ganesh Acharya, said that people in the district, however, will abide by health protocols though the prohibitory order has been lifted.
With the decision, private airline companies can operate flights to Humla from Nepalgunj and Surkhet from today.
With the prohibitory order being lifted, the risk of the spread of coronavirus has increased. At present, there are a total of 34 active cases of coronavirus in Humla district including seven in Simkot.
